Demag with PAK40. Tip: Turn up the volume slightly on your PC's speakers to get an aural feel of the noise that these machines made.

It was no surprise that the Demag with PaK 40 was the slowest of the three tracked vehicles, but the turn of speed put out by both 250 and 251 was impressive. To travel cross-country on these vehicles is akin to being in a small boat in a swell. The noise means you have to shout to be heard, and it is quite easy to crack your head, elbows or knees on sharp corners. With every nook and cranny stuffed with kit, weapons and ammunition, there is little room left for the crews.
